Welcome to the Hull University CathSoc page. University is a great time for all students but it can be a difficult time for many who practice their faith. The society and the Chaplaincy (where we are based) are here to help students and staff in their journey as disciples of Christ.

 

It is a place where we can come for prayer, friendship and we would love for you to join our community.

Throughout the year, Fr William Massie, our new Chaplain, will be celebrating Mass every Sunday and also during the week. We will be having many different events to help us grow closer to the Lord: Holy Hours, Talks and much more. Check the Services page o the website for more information. We also have an annual retreat to get a break away from the University schedule. 

  

We will also be having regular socials and events to allow us to get to know each other better: Film Nights, pub crawls and of course the return of the much loved Karaoke socials in Sanc. Everyone is always welcome to stay and have a drink after Sunday Mass!

We will also be helping out in the local community and we have links to a local soup kitchen who provide meals for those in need. It is important for us to give witness to our faith in Jesus by loving him in our neighbours and we want to help make it as easy as possible for students to give a helping hand.

CathSoc is a home away from home for many and is one of the most international and diverse societies in Hull. Please get in touch or drop in to the Chaplaincy whenever you can.
